360 problam

k so today me and my freind came to my place to play some games and my games where freezing and i got the red rings of death i fixed them but now i aint geting video anyone know the problam?

Well I'll start with the obvious and ask if the yellow video cord is plugged into your T.V. If it is, then I really don't know if there's anything you could do. I'd take it in.

Alright, I bought my Xbox 360 in the Summer of 2007 and I've had it for a long time as it plays very well.

Is your Xbox against the wall? Is it vertical? If so fix these by removing the XBOX from the wall into the center of the room, I know it's silly but never ever put your Xbox against the wall because heat won't be able to escape so it will be trapped in your Xbox thus the overheating. Now leave it for maybe 48 hours and put a fan next to it for like 15 minutes. Then after doing so, once the 48 hour period is over, check if it works. If it doesn't, I guess you'll need a new Xbox but just do what I said. Never ever put your Xbox against a wall or anything so just drag your Xbox to a wide open space with a lot of room. ^What is with you and hating the 360. Just because you have the PS3 and you like it, doesn't mean that it's far better (even if you think that) We get it, you don't like the 360 and that's fine, but goddamn you're getting really annoying for shitting on a console that came out years before the PS3. If 360 came out at the same time, Microsoft probably would've just made it as good if not better than the PS3.

360 may have come out before PS3.. but that does not change the fact PS3 is a far superior system every smart gamer/critic knows this.. microsoft may be capable of making a better console? but thats highly debatable.. but in reality sony would out do them everytime

I wouldn't say it's far superior but go ahead and say that. Also, PS3 ranges from 400 - 500 dolars, while the 360 is at 200. You can't argue against the pricing. PS3 is 2X more than 360 and while PS3 might have the better system, 360 IMO has some better games (you guys do have some nice games I'll admit but I think we have more games that are a little bit better)

360 has some good games yes..most of wich are available on the PS3 aswell.. i have played some of your excusive titles at freinds.. gears etc there good.. you might say next that those multi format games look better on 360..ok yeah they do cus there devolped on the 360 and ported over..wich is never tht good anyway.. take mirrors edge for example lead platform was PS3..looks better graphically.. PS3 is obviously the better console in terms of whats under the hood and what it can do and has done.. Biggest downfall PS3 has is what sony is charging.. we do have alot of games that in my opinion are far better than anything 360 has to offer.. Killzone 2.. the recently released Resistance 2.. Metal Gear Solid 4 etc but.. lets end this arguement there.. u enjoy ur console i'll enjoy mine lol

Short and simple ive had red rings 4xs now.....I had that problem once,and if you get sound can turn it on and everything and theres no vid,basically you're fucked cause something in the internal core f'd up/

it depends on your warrany, maybe you could send it back to fix it?
if not then try to look for loose plugs, then attach them firmly. this happened to me before, like 1 month after buying it lol
